Re:New Christian Addiction Treatment Program for Adults in Tennessee

Mirror Lake clients have the option to include Christian elements in their treatment. Those who choose to do so are able to strengthen their faith as they develop skills to maintain sobriety.

What are the benefits of Christian addiction treatment?

At Mirror Lake Recovery Center, we recognize and appreciate that each individual brings his or her own experiences, beliefs, and perspectives to the treatment environment. We honor the unique characteristics of each person who chooses to heal with us, and we make every effort to ensure that the treatment experience acknowledges these characteristics when appropriate.

We understand that, in order to be most effective, our programming must connect with our clients not only while they are residing at our center, but also when they transition to their next placement or return home. One of the best ways to facilitate this connection is to develop treatment programs that reflect the client’s faith and value system. We have found that individuals who rely on their faith during their time in treatment often flourish when provided with the opportunity to engage in a treatment program that not only encourages that sense of faith, but helps it to grow.

For these reasons, we are proud to offer the Re:New Christian Program, an optional faith-based treatment track that is specifically designed for clients who desire to incorporate elements of their Christian faith into their treatment and recovery. The Re:New Christian Program is a nondenominational program that is led by a Christian counselor who helps clients to develop and strengthen their faith throughout their time at our treatment center.

Is participation required?

All Mirror Lake Recovery Center clients are welcome to participate in the Re:New Christian Program, but no one is required to do so.

Do you have to belong to a certain denomination?

No. The Re:New Christian Program is a nondenominational program that is led by a Christian counselor who helps clients to develop and strengthen their faith throughout their time at our treatment center.

What faith-based therapies are used?

In addition to interacting with a Christian counselor, clients who participate in the Re:New Christian Program join weekly process groups that combine Christian beliefs with evidence-based psychological principles that have been developed in order to treat the whole person, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

In order to provide a well-rounded comprehensive treatment experience, the Re:New Christian Program features a variety of activities, including the following:

  • Daily journaling
  • Bible study using the Life Recovery Bible and workbook
  • 12-step group meetings
  • Meetings with chaplains
  • Meditation
  • Celebrate Recovery meetings

How do you receive Christian treatment at Mirror Lake?
